Travelling through some of the Earth’s most dramatic and spectacular scenes is quite an experience. Our Taste of Iceland package lets you sample many of the country’s best attractions, giving you the chance to explore the city before heading off to take in some of the natural beauties of the land. With waterfalls, clean healthy air and fascinating history, you can be sure of a pleasant and intriguing break. All you need to do is hire a car and take to the road, driving from Reykjavik – and back to Reykjavik – with some amazing stop-offs on your four-day journey!

In a private car, you don’t need to worry about restrictions or schedules. We’ve made a number of recommendations regarding the best places to check out but the choice is entirely yours. So why not enjoy the freedom of discovering Iceland for yourself? 1st DAY: ARRIVAL DAY | KEFLAVIK - REYKJAVIK

From Keflavík International Airport, it takes about 50 minutes to drive or take the Flybus/taxi to Reykjavík. Hotel Loftleiðir offers a free hotel shuttle and we recommend that you take advantage of a trip to the city centre and see what the town has to offer.

2nd DAY: SOUTH COAST

HIGHLIGHTS: Blue Lagoon - Stokkseyri – Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls

At the start of the day, you may like to drive from the hotel to the famous Blue Lagoon, where you can renew your relationship with nature and enjoy breathing the clean air while relaxing in the warm, geothermal seawater. From there you can drive to Stokkseyri and Selfoss before going on to Skógar.

3rd DAY: SKÓGAR - LAUGARVATN

HIGHLIGHTS: Gullfoss waterfall - Geysir - Laugarvatn

Upon leaving Laugarvatn you will drive to our famous waterfall, Gullfoss, to experience its power, and also to Geysir. There you can see what the nature here in Iceland has to offer. From Geysir, just drive to Laugarvatn, where you will be able to spend the night.

4th DAY: THE EAST FJORDS

HIGHLIGHTS: Thingvellir National Park

On the final full day, you will visit one of Iceland’s best natural wonders. We recommend that you drive to Þingvellir National Park and see where the most important events in the history of the island took place. From Thingvellir you will drive to Reykjavík and stay overnight at our famous Hilton Hotel.
