Það besta úr héraði á Hótel EdduStraight from farm to plate at Edda HotelsThis year, Edda Hotels has launched a partnership with a leading Icelandic chef, Fridrik Valur Karlsson and his wife Arnrun Magnusdottir, to create unique menus at every Edda Hotel, each one tailored to the gourmet ingredients available in the area.

The co-operation is a result of the growing popularity of locally sourced food and Icelandic cuisine in general.

“Edda Hotels are already known within Iceland for our creative use of local ingredients,” commented Tryggvi Gudmundsson, managing director at Edda Hotels. “With this new partnership, we will see even more of it and really bring out the characteristics of Icelandic nature in our cuisine.”

Seasonal offerings will include local berries, organically-grown vegetables, healthy mosses, grain-fed pork, fresh water trout, and more.

We look forward to welcoming you to an Edda hotel this summer.

Iceland’s 13 Edda Hotels, located around the country, have a longstanding reputation as comfortable accommodation with friendly and professional service.
