"A lovely stay at Hotel Edda Akureyri"
On the ground floor there is a bar and a lounge area with a piano and a TV and a pool table. On each floor there is a sitting room with lovely sofas. Everything is up to par in this hotel. And I will definitely stay there again next time I visit the lovely town of Akureyri.
The hotel is very comfortable and has a great view of the mountains. The staff is the best part, they are all really nice people and make you feel like home.
"Such a great start to my trip"
it's a great place to stay that is situated after the National Park and a short ride from the Geysir and Gulfoss -- the spa/baths/hot springs next door are an absolute MUST SEE
"We loved it and we´ll be back again"
A really practical, clean and comfortable hotel with no fuss, everything we required, bathroom with shower very good and very good dinner and breakfast and not too expensive. Staff extremely friendly and helpful
The most known volcano in the world which blocked lots of flights across the world this year is just behind your window. Hotel is located in the school as all edda hotels. Rooms are spacious, shared bathroom
I recommend this place for every nature lover.
"Cosy with excellent service and spectacular views!"
If you are thinking of heading to Iceland, then I recommend you go to a gorgeous little town; Vik. If you're going to Vik, then I highly recommend you stay at Hotel Edda!
"Split-level family rooms - best lamb dish in Iceland!"
The biggest surprice was the hotel restaurant, which we chose only due to lack of other options in the area. The lamb main course was the tendrest, most tasty lamb dish we have ever tasted!!
This was the best place we stayed in Iceland this year. Our room had a huge window with an amazing view of the fjord.
"Exactly what we needed"
Granted it's not a luxury hotel but the staff were extremely friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and it was only few minutes walk out of town. Would definitely stay there again.
Our room was nice and spacious and very very clean. Most of the furniture looked fairly new. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Something I found exciting about the Edda hotel chain is that they were all former schools, so the layout of the hotel is a little odd (but fun).
